Founder & President

Dr. Kelly Baylan is the founder and President of Baylan Wellness. She completed her undergraduate education in 2005 at Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) with a B.S. in biology, cum laude. She then attended Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine, graduating in 2010. Her residency in psychiatry was completed at Scott & White Hospital and she continued her work there as staff for one year, while awaiting her husband’s completion of his own residency. She then devoted her time to founding Baylan Wellness and beginning her work as a contracting psychiatrist for several companies. Her areas of expertise including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Personality Disorders, with years of experience with both active duty and veteran populations.

Joseph Makilan Baylan, M.D.


Dr. Joseph Baylan is the co-founder of Baylan Wellness. He attended Trinity University for undergraduate studies graduating with honors with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology.  He attended Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine, graduating in 2010. Subsequently he completed general surgery residency at Texas A&M Health Science Center – Scott & White Memorial Hospital, graduating in 2015. He then began his sub specialty training at Stanford University in plastic surgery. He will complete that training in 2018. His specific areas of interest include craniofacial reconstruction and aesthetics. Dr. Baylan also enjoys sharing his skill set on mission trips to help those in need.

Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately. If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.

If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
